Liam and Emma were siblings who seemed to argue about everything: who got the bigger cookie, who chose the TV show, who had more crayons. Every day ended in grumbles and crossed arms, and their parents sighed, wishing for peace in their home.
One Sunday, after a particularly bad fight over whose turn it was to feed their dog Max, their grandmother sat them down. “Did you know that when we pray together, our hearts soften?” she asked gently.
Liam and Emma exchanged skeptical glances.
“If you pray for each other and ask God to help you love one another, you’ll see your fights begin to fade,” Grandma continued.
That evening, as they knelt beside their beds, Liam whispered, “God, please help Emma be nicer to me.”
Emma smirked but then closed her eyes. “God, please help Liam be more patient.”
Days passed, and though they still bickered, something was changing. When Liam accidentally knocked over Emma’s block tower, instead of yelling, she sighed and rebuilt it. When Emma forgot to refill Max’s water, Liam helped without teasing her.
One night, Liam looked at Emma. “I think our prayers are working.”
Emma smiled. “Maybe forgiving each other like Jesus teaches makes life better.”

From then on, they prayed together each night, learning that love and patience came not from winning arguments but from trusting God and forgiving freely. And soon enough, peace found a home in their hearts.
Bible Verse:
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
