Listen to Samuel’s story!

1. Pray First
Talk to God about how you feel. Whether you’re sad, confused, or even angry, God understands and cares.
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
2. Be Kind – Even When It’s Hard
Sometimes step-siblings or step-parents can feel like strangers at first. Start with kindness and respect, just like Jesus teaches.
“Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Luke 6:31
3. Talk About Your Feelings
It’s okay to feel unsure, jealous, or upset. Talk to a parent, pastor, or trusted adult. Sharing your feelings helps others understand and support you.
4. Give It Time
Blended families take time to grow together. You don’t have to feel close right away. Friendships and love often grow slowly and quietly.
5. Forgive Quickly
Arguments will happen. When they do, try to forgive like Jesus forgives you. Holding on to anger only makes things harder.
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
6. Remember: You’re Not Alone
Jesus is always with you, even in a messy family situation. Ask Him for peace, patience, and love when things feel tough.
7. Look for the Good
Try to notice the good things in your new family new traditions, fun times, and people who care about you. Be thankful when you can.
💡 Final Thought:
Your family may not be perfect, but God is still writing your story. He can bring love, healing, and joy in unexpected ways. Trust Him to help your family grow stronger together.
