Why read the Bible? Is it still meaningful to me?

🌟 Devotional for Kids: “God’s Word is My Daily Bread!” 🌟
Theme Verse: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105 (NIV)

Imagine this…
You wake up in the morning, and your stomach starts growling. You need breakfast, right? What if you skipped eating all day? You’d be tired, grumpy, and not ready for anything!

Well, just like our bodies need food every day, our hearts and minds need God’s Word every day too.

Why Read the Bible Every Day?

🕯️ It lights our way.
The Bible shows us how to live, make good choices, and love others like Jesus. It’s like a flashlight in a dark room—when we don’t know what to do, God’s Word helps us see the right path.

📖 It helps us grow.
Reading the Bible is like watering a plant. The more you read it, the more your faith grows strong and healthy!

💬 It’s how God talks to us.
When we read the Bible, we’re hearing what God wants to say. He uses His Word to remind us how much He loves us and to guide us each day.

What Can I Do?

  1. Pick a time – Maybe after breakfast or before bedtime. Make it your special time with God.
  2. Start small – Even just one verse a day can be powerful!
  3. Use a kids’ Bible – It can help you understand God’s Word better.
  4. Talk about it – Ask a parent, sibling, or friend what they think about the verse you read.

Try This Today:
Read Psalm 119:105 out loud. Then grab a flashlight, turn off the lights, and imagine walking through a dark room without it. That’s life without God’s Word. Now turn it on—see how much easier it is? That’s the power of the Bible!

Let’s Pray:
Dear God, thank You for giving us the Bible. Help me to remember to read it every day so I can learn more about You and grow closer to You. Please help me understand what I read and show me how to live it out. Amen.
